Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 has been in the news for a long time now. Although the producers have said that as of now the script is being worked on, speculations are rife that Shah Rukh Khan may not be seen in the 3rd installment of the much-famous franchise. If that was not enough, this morning we woke up to the shocking news of SRK already being replaced in the film. Reports are flying thick that Shah Rukh has bowed out of the project, leaving it without a male lead as of now. So, Zoya Akhtar has approached her blue-eyed boy, Ranveer Singh to step in King Khan’s shoes.
However, sources reveal that Ranveer Singh has not even been approached for the role, leave aside replacing Shah Rukh. Now, barring winds of change and if talks begin in near future with him, as of now Ranveer is not doing Don 3. We wonder, even if he had to be approached, why would Zoya and not Farhan do the needful? Isn’t Farhan the captain of the ship?
Talking about Shah Rukh Khan, well, the superstar has been keeping a low key about his forthcoming projects of late. After his last outing, Zero bombed at the box-office, Khan has been extra cautious with his upcoming films. He has already opted out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic, which will now see Vicky Kaushal as the new leader. Now, whether Don 3 is on his list or not is still uncertain. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is also exploring the web space and is keen on undertaking an action-thriller web series, which his company, Red Chillies Entertainment will produce.
