Here are some key personalities who have resigned under the Modi regime

Urjit Patel grilled by Parliamentary panel, seeks more powers for RBI

With Urjit Patel calling it a day the list of resignations occurring under the Modi government increases further. Urjit Patel resigned from his post of RBI Governor 9 months before his term would have ended in September 2018. Other key persons who have quit after the Modi govt came to power are as follows:-

August 2017 – Arvind Panagariya (Niti Aayog Vice-Chairman)

After serving for two and a half years the Niti Aayog Vice-chairman Arvind Panagariya called quits in August 2017. Padma Bhushan awardee Arvind Panagariya left citing academic commitments at Columbia University. Apparently, the term of Panagariya was co-terminus with the NDA government of 2014-19. Rajiv Kumar succeeded Panagariya for the post at NITI Aayog.

June 2018 – Arvind Subramanian (Chief Economic Advisor)

Arvind Subramanian who took charge as the Chief Economic Advisor left the finance ministry citing “family commitments”. Subramanian assumed the post on October 16, 2014, for a tenure of 3 years but it later got extended by a year. He resigned from his post four months before his term would have ended.

The post was given to IIT Alumni Krishnamurthy Subramanian after it was left vacant for a period of 6 months.
