The 2018 UEFA Champions League and 2018 FIFA Club World Cup champions sailed through the last practice of the year at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium, a change from the traditional arenas (1 and 2), reports Efe news.
Madrid fans, including children and families, filled the stadium named after the club’s legend, applauding each and every one of the footballers to celebrate a historic year in the La Liga giant’s history.
Real Madrid claimed both European and International titles for the third year in a row in 2018.
Regarding the squad, the club said in a statement that Dominican striker Mariano Díaz and Spain winger Marco Asensio were still recovering from injuries.
Madrid is set to take on Villarreal at the Cerámica stadium on Thursday, corresponding to the postponed La Liga matchday 17 encounter.
