Realme X and Realme 3i have been officially launched in India. The two phones were launched by the company at an event in New Delhi and its pricing and availability details were revealed.
After its debut in China, Realme X has now come to India. It is a feature packed premium mid-range smartphone that highlights an AMOLED display, Snapdragon 710 chipset, and a 48MP dual camera, etc.
The Realme 3i is a budget phone that offers a smudge-free diamond cut design, Helio P60 chipset, and a large 4, 230mAh battery.
Realme X has been priced starting at Rs 16,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant and Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 128 GB model. The Realme X will be offered in Polar White and Space Blue gradient colors.
The Realme X will go on sale for the first time on July 24 at 12 noon on Flipkart and Realme.com. Realme will hold a special sale on July 18 at 8 pm for those who pre-ordered the device last week. The Realme X will also go on sale via offline stores soon.
Realme X Master Edition was also announced and it comes in Onion and Garlic inspired finishes priced at Rs 19,999. Realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home edition that comes in a special box that includes a Spider-Man-themed case an icon pack. This edition is priced at Rs 20,999. Both the special edition phones will go on sale in August.
Realme 3i starts at Rs 7,999 for the 3GB + 32GB variant and Rs 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB version. The first sale date will be on July 23, 2019, at 12 noon on Flipkart and Realme.com. The Realme 3i will be available in three colors – Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, and Diamond Red.
Realme X specifications
Realme X highlights a premium body as it gets a tall, bezel-less display on the front and a curved glass rear panel in gradient finishes along with a metal frame. The Realme X is the company’s first phone to offer a notchless Super AMOLED display to bring a pure full-screen experience. The smartphone sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, over 91 percent screen-to-body ratio and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Powering the Realme X is a 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 710 octa-core chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Realme X does not support storage expandability. It houses a 3,765mAh battery and supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 on top. The Realme X also supports Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience via headphones.
Realme X comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and supports face unlock as well. The phone offers a pop-up selfie camera that houses a 16-megapixel f/2.0 sensor. The pop-up camera is said to rise in just 0.74 seconds and will automatically retract when detecting fall. On the back of the Realme X, you get a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1.6-micron pixel, and 6P lens and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. The Realme X offers features like Nightscape and Chroma Boost.
Realme 3i specifications
Realme 3i is the first smartphone in the company’s new Realme “i” series. The Realme 3i is largely similar to the Realme 3 that was launched earlier this year. It gets a similar 6.2-inch HD+ (1520×720) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The rear panel is different here as it sports a diamond-cut design with a matt finish much like the Realme C2. It will be offered in three colors – Diamond Black, Diamond Blue, and Diamond Red. The handset measures 156.1×75.6×8.3mm and weigh 175 grams.
The smartphone is powered by a 2.0Ghz Helio P60 octa-core chipset with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB. The phone offers a triple card slot with two Nano SIM cards (Dual VoLTE) and a microSD card support. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Realme 3i offers a 13-megapixel main camera with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the phone features a 13-megapixel selfie sensor. The Realme 3i also runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie and houses a 4,230mAh battery.
