Redmi 12C launched in India: Xiaomi has just released the Redmi 12C in India with a new storage configuration. The company has released a new variant of its budget-friendly smartphone with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which it hinted at last week.

Regarding the device itself, the Chinese tech giant’s 12C features a 6.71-inch display with HD+ resolution and 500 nits of maximum luminosity. The device is outfitted with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Redmi 12C is propelled by a 5 000 mAh battery that supports 10 W charging. The front contains a 5-megapixel selfie camera, while the back has a dual 50-megapixel camera system.

A 3.5mm headphone jack, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a micro USB port for data transmission and charging, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion are also notable features. The device ships with the Android 13-based MIUI 13 operating system, and the 4GB+128GB variant rests just below its 6GB sibling. This smartphone variant costs less than 10,000 Indian Rupees, making it an affordable entry-level device.

The new Redmi 12C 4GB+128GB model has an official price tag of 9,999 INR and will go on sale in India on June 22. It will be available in a variety of colours, including Lavender Purple, Matte Black, Mint Green, and Royal Blue. Alongside the 6GB variant, which costs 8,999 INR, the company had previously released a 4GB+64GB model. Therefore, this configuration will fall between the base and upper variants.
