Registration Cancelled For Affordable Housing Projects: Gurugram’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has cancelled five real estate projects owned by Mahira Infratech Private Limited and Czar Buildtech Private Limited. Mahira’s promoters violated the rules of the RERA Act and this happened on Monday.

The authority did this since the construction of the five affordable housing projects in Gurugram had not been completed.

RERA determined that the promoter willfully violated many rules of the RERA Act 2016 and its related rules after reviewing the case and evidence.

According to the report, the promoter mismanaged all five projects using homebuyers’ money.

“The Authority has decided to cancel the registrations of the affordable housing projects that were registered by this Authority under Section 7(1)(a), (b), and (d) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016, Haryana Real Estates (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017, and Regulations of the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Gurugram,” stated RERA in its order.

In addition, it prohibited the promoter from using websites related to those projects and mentioned that the promoter’s name would be listed as a defaulter on RERA’s website.

This action does not affect the rights of the allottees under the RERA Act 2016 and its associated Rules and Regulations, clarified the Authority.

The authority inspected all five affordable housing projects launched by Mahira Infratech and Czar Buildtech in Gurgaon on February 14. These include Mahira Homes in Sector 68, 104, 103, 63A, and 95.

Several times, the promoter of Mahira Homes did not pay on time, according to Arun Kumar, who heads RERA. As per the RERA Act, RERA’s job is to protect homebuyers’ rights. It was for this reason that RERA cancelled the registrations of all five Mahira Homes projects. Kumar stressed that this was to protect the homebuyers’ interests. RERA is currently seeking ways to finish these projects in a different way.
