RIE CEE 2026 Notification Out:The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced the admission schedule for Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) for the 2026 academic session.

The official website cee.ncert.gov.in will start online registration for Integrated B.Ed B.Ed M.Ed and other teacher education programs on May 15 2026. The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on June 28, 2026.

The NCERT conducts the RIE Common Entrance Examination each year to provide access to teacher education programs which are available at five Regional Institutes of Education that exist in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong. The entrance examination serves as a primary route through which students attempt to enter professional teacher training programs throughout India.

Candidates can apply for multiple undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education programmes through the entrance exam. These include:

Eligibility Criteria for RIE CEE 2026

The eligibility conditions vary according to the programme selected. The B.Ed admission requirements state that candidates must achieve a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation or postgraduation studies. The NCERT standards allow reserved category candidates to obtain minimum qualifying marks with relaxed requirements.

How to Apply for RIE CEE 2026?

1. Visit cee.ncert.gov.in and click on the registration link to create a new account using a valid email ID and mobile number.

2. Log in with your new credentials and enter your personal details, academic history, and contact information.

3. Upload a scanned copy of your recent passport-size photograph and signature in the specific format required by the portal.

4. Choose your preferred Regional Institute (RIE) and select three convenient test centers from the available national list.

5. Pay the application fee through the integrated online payment gateway and submit the form. Ensure you download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The Common Entrance Examination will be conducted in online mode at designated centres across the country. The paper typically assesses candidates on language proficiency, teaching aptitude, reasoning ability, and subject-specific knowledge depending on the course applied for.

Admissions will be granted based on candidates’ performance in the entrance examination followed by counselling and document verification. Final seat allotment will depend on merit, category reservation, and seat availability at the respective RIE campuses.
