Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to sell medicines made of cow urine, manure along with signature ‘Modi’ and ‘Yogi’ kurtas online. The products will be created at a pharmaceutical lab at Deen Dayal Dham, a facility run by the RSS in Mathura.

“Products of our ‘Kamdhenu’ line (which include claimed medicines for cancer and diabetes, face packs and soaps), with cow urine as ingredient, and the kurtas will be available online soon,” said Manish Gupta, deputy secretary of Deen Dayal Dham, talking to TOI.

As of now, these are available at the dham and at RSS camps. “We are in the process of registering with online shopping websites. Products in which cow urine is being used are Kamdhenu Ark for indigestion, Kamdhenu Madhunashak Chur for diabetes, oils for sprains and arthritis, shampoo, bath soaps, eye drops, cataract medicines, toothpaste, incense, Kamdhenu Kafsudha for lung infection and face packs. Our eye care products can help improve eyesight as well,” Gupta added.

“Apart from cow urine, cow-dung is used for making soaps, face packs and incense. We do not use any chemicals here. We have 50 cows in our own shed, and their urine and manure are collected daily, stored and used in the products according to specifications worked out for each product. In 2015, we sold 7 quintal of chyawanprash. In 2016, production of chyawanprash alone was hiked to 12 quintal, which was sold off much before the end of the year,” said Ramgopal, who works at the facility.

Products with cow urine as an ingredient are in big demand at a local level and in RSS-organised camps, director of Deen Dayal Dham Rajendra told TOI. With these being available online, people across the world would be able to use and benefit from them, he added.

“We expect high demand from online customers for these products, and production will probably need to be increased,” he concludes.
