Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are back to being friends for good it seems, this time around. In the last few years, we have seen both the superstars not only promote each other’s films but also play small characters in them. After SRK played a magician in Tubelight, Salman returned the favour by dancing in a song of Zero. Now, the Karan Arjun of Bollywood will be seen one more time on-screen this year for Dabangg 3.
Our source tells us, “Dabangg 3 has a few flashback portions which will trace Salman’s journey before he became the Robinhood of the area. There’s a character It’s of a man who helps Salman during an important scene. The team was thinking of a few names when Salman decided to call his good friend Shah Rukh to shoot for it. Salman and SRK did a FaceTime call a few weeks back, which is when Salman asked him if he can make an appearance in D3. SRK happily said yes to it.”
If this goes as per plans, it will also be the only Hindi film that we might get to see the SRK in, this year.
The film’s first schedule which was being shot in Indore got wrapped up recently. The entire crew is now moving to Mumbai where they will shoot nights for the second schedule. “They are currently talking and locking SRK’s dates for the cameo. It’s barely a day or two of shoot and they will film the scenes at Film City itself, where the sets have been built,” adds our source.
Dabangg 3 is being directed by Prabhudheva and stars Sonakshi Sinha and Sudeep in important roles. The film is being readied for a December release this year.
