Salman Khan has an epic reply for Vivek Oberoi’s bizarre meme

A meme on Aishwarya Rai shared by Vivek Oberoi received a lot of flak from celebs and netizens alike on Twitter. Amidst the entire controversy, Salman Khan has also responded to the same. Here’s what the Bharat star has to say.

Since yesterday Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, and Vivek Oberoi have been in the news all because of a tweet. Vivek Oberoi tweeted a meme based on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s relationships and it caused a massive uproar on social media. Many of the celebs including Sonam K Ahuja and Jwala Gutta took to Twitter and called the action on Vivek’s part distasteful. Even the National Commission for Women issued a notice to Vivek Oberoi seeking explanation on the same.

Now, after everyone’s reaction, Salman Khan also has responded to the tweet. In a media interaction for Bharat, Salman was asked about the tweet posted by Vivek Oberoi. To this, Salman had an epic response. Salman mentioned that he doesn’t spend that much time on Twitter like he used to and doesn’t tweet much. Hence, he can’t keep up with tweets. He even questioned the media about concentrating on work or on comments on Twitter. Salman and Vivek had a huge fallout in 2003 when Vivek Oberoi held a press conference bashing Salman Khan.

Salman, in the media interaction, said, “Main dhyan hi nahi deta. Pehle jaisa tweet hi nahi karta, toh memes kya dekhunga. Main kaam karoon ya comments dekhoon. Main bilkul dhyan nahi deta.” ( I don’t pay attention to all this. I don’t tweet like I used to, hence how will I see Tweets. Should I work or see comments? I don’t pay attention to all this at all.) After receiving flak from everyone on social media, Vivek Oberoi has finally apologised on Twitter and mentioned that he can never mean to hurt any woman and deleted the Aishwarya Rai meme that started the controversy.

On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his highly awaited film, Bharat. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and is slated to release on Eid.
