Salman Khan to play a ‘dancer dad’ in his next

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is all set to groove on the beats of Remo D’Souza. The versatile actor has nodded to play a role of dancer dad in a dance drama film directed by Remo D’Souza. It will go on the floors in 2018 and Salman will be playing a role of a father to a 13-year-old girl. His character will be of a trained dancer.

Well, after receiving much praise for wrestling drama Sultan, the actor will be next seen in Kabir Khan’s war tragedy Tubelight. And then he will act for the first time in a dance-oriented film. The actor is set to undertake humongous training for the same. He’s otherwise well-known for his freestyle dance.

Recently, the actor confirmed taking up the project while talking to a popular magazine in an interview. “In my next, I’m playing the father to a 13-year-old girl. It’s a film about dancing. Like the Hollywood Step Up franchise. I’m going to be a properly trained dancer. You know how painful that is? But I’ve always believed that effortless hard work should be seen on-screen,” Salman was quoted as saying.

Reportedly, Remo met Salman a year ago to talk about the script of this film. But as Salman had no dates at that time, the project was kept on hold.

However, when Mirror contacted the choreographer turned director, he remained silent on the project and said, “I cannot share anything at this point of time.”  Remo D’Souza’s last directorial was ‘A Flying Jatt’ starring Tiger Shroff’s which was a superhero flick.

In the mean time, Salman Khan and Karan Johar have joined hands for their maiden joint production venture and the film will star none other than their close friend Akshay Kumar. The news was broadcasted late yesterday night simultaneously by trio Salman, Akshay and Karan.
