Android 14 OS, based on OneUI 6.1, was rolled out to eligible Samsung devices last week. As of now, it has reached the Galaxy Z foldables, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A345G. Currently, the South Korean brand is seeding the latest software update to its Galaxy S21 series users in Europe. OneUI 3.1-based Android 11 was pre-installed on the smartphones when they were launched in 2021. The current version of the app runs on Android 13 with OneUI 5.1.
OneUI 6.1 is now available for Samsung Galaxy S21 series
The OneUI 6.1-based Android 14 updates for the Galaxy S21 series are starting to roll out in Europe starting with Switzerland. G991BXX U9FWK2 / G991BOXM9FWK2 / G991BXXU9FWK2 is the firmware version of the latest build. Since it weighs 2.28GB, it is recommended to download it over a stable internet connection. A security patch for November is also included in the update.
It’s unclear which Galaxy S21 series device will receive the latest update. Notably, the S21 lineup was part of the OneUI 6.1 beta program a few months ago. We can also expect the rollout to expand to more regions in the near future. You can check the latest software version in Europe by going to Settings > System Update > Download and Install. By tapping Check for Updates, users can find out if an update is available even if they are not prompted to update. The rollout is phased and may take some time to reach all devices if you still don’t see the update available.
