The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will likely receive some minor enhancements over its predecessor. It is scheduled to debut in July in Seoul. Before the launch, leaker Brar revealed the Galaxy Z Fold 5 specifications, indicating that the foldable phone may be similar to the previous model but with an upgraded processor and a few other modifications.
At least, the processor will be the highlight of the spec sheet upgrade. Samsung will equip the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with its custom-designed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy. The Galaxy S23 series contain the same SoC. According to a listing on Geekbench, the Fold 5’s SoC has the same clock speed as the flagship Galaxy S23 series. It has a 3.36GHz prime core, four 2.8GHz performance cores, and three 2.02GHz efficiency cores. The device was listed with 12GB of RAM on Geekbench. Brar added that Samsung is likely to release the Z Fold 5 with storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The storage options will differ depending on the launch region of the foldable smartphone.
The remaining specifications resemble those of the previous model. There will be a foldable 7.6-inch display, a 6.2-inch cover display, a triple-camera configuration, and more.
