SC judge L Nageswara Rao on Wednesday recused from hearing in the contempt case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Saradha chit fund probe against the Kolkata Police. Justice Rao recused from the bench as he had earlier appeared for the State of West Bengal as a counsel.
The matter had been slated for a hearing before a three judge bench today comprising of Chief Justice of India Ranaj Gogoi, Justice L Nageswara Rao and Sanjiv Khanna.
