School holiday amid coronavirus outbreak across nation, check updates here

Here are the updates on school holidays due to coronavirus outbreak in the various states of Kerala, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi and so on.

With WHO declaring Coronavirus a pandemic many states have announced holiday for schools and colleges to halt the spread of the deadly virus. 

Amid coronavirus outbreak, Srinagar has banned public gatherings and also closed the schools and coaching centres across the city. Jammu and Kashmir administration had also decided on the closure of all primary schools and anganwadis in the districts and Jammu. 

“All the primary schools and Anganwadis and cinema halls are directed to remain close till March 31 and if any school does not follow the instruction then legal proceedings will be made against them,” said Udhampur district collector Piyush Singla.

Here are the updates on school holidays due to coronavirus outbreak in the various states of Kerala, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi and so on.

All schools and colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh have been closed till March 31. All schools were also closed for classes 1 to 7 have been closed in the state of Kerala which saw the recent spike in Coronavirus cases. The government has also closed cinema halls in the state to curtail the spread of the virus. 

Delhi had earlier announced to shut all primary schools in the capital. The schools – whether government or private would remain shut for primary classes till March 31.

Some private schools in Noida had been closed for sanitization work, which has since then resumed classes. The board examinations (Kerala SSLC, CBSE and ICSE examinations) however, will continue as per time table. Students are allowed to wear masks and carry hand sanitizers.
