The security forces on Friday seized several possessions from Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters. This includes a few rooms full of coins and currency note sacks (some allegedly also of banned notes), objectionable items, car without number plates. The plastic coins are inscribed with words like ‘Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera hi Asara, Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa.’
It seems as if the Dera chief was running a separate monetary system, as these coins carried value in the Dera’s own shops, reported NDTV.
A local resident, who stays near Dera, feels to be in a state of demonetisation again as he cannot use those plastic coins now. “I have three such coins of Rs 10, but I cannot use them because the entire area near the Dera headquarters has been cordoned off by the Army,” said Mukesh Kumar to PTI.
Shockingly, it was also revealed, that skeletons were buried at the Dera premises. Other objectionable items like medicines without being labelled by the government authorities and vehicles like OB Van, Lexus car without number plate were also recovered from the Dera headquarters.
Forensic teams have been called from Roorkee, Kurukshetra, Madhuban and Karnal, that will now scan and examine these items including a computer, hard disks and other electronic items.
