Now, this is shocking if it’s true. According to a story in an entertainment portal, Shah Rukh Khan has walked out of Saare Jahaan Se Acha in favour of Don 3. If you remember Farhan Akhtar had hinted at the launch of Gully Boy trailer that he will be making a big announcement soon. Many speculated it was about Don 3 and now it seems, SRK and his team have decided that would be the right thing to do next post Zero’s debacle.
Honestly, we are slightly happy about it. There is no one in the industry who can play bad as good as SRK. But we would have still wanted him to do the Rakesh Sharma biopic as he is a fine actor. However, as per the report, the superstar has backed out of the film completely and the makers are now thinking of casting someone else in the lead.
Saare Jahaan Se Aacha has already been delayed a lot. Aamir Khan quitting the film had left it in the lurch but then soon SRK’s name got attached to it. He had informed reporters, “It is a great script. Salute is a wonderful script and I am a big fan of Rakesh (Sharma). It’s a wonderful story and I feel sad that I was not able to do it, which is why I called up Shah Rukh and told him it was a wonderful story and he should hear it. I am glad he liked it. All my best wishes for the project.”
While Aamir’s reasons were he wanted to concentrate on making Mahabharat, SRK’s could be Zero’s poor show. We are pretty sure he wants to do a film now that caters to his fans.
