Amid mounting criticism, Shilpa shared an Instagram reel carrying the message, “Jo ukhadna hai ukhad lo,” a phrase loosely translating to “Do whatever you can.” The post was widely interpreted as a defiant response to the calls for legal and professional action against her. While the actress did not directly mention AICWA or any individual in the post, social media users quickly linked it to the ongoing controversy.

In the new reel, Shilpa posted a series of pictures and videos of herself with the words, “Be a woman! In another post, Shilpa was seen mimicking a line in response to the ongoing backlash over her comments. In the video, she said, “Sab saaf bolne ke chakkar mein jindagi se aadhey log saaf ho gaye (Since I speak truthfully, I have lost half of the people in my life).”

Why Is AICWA Seeking Action?
The controversy erupted after Shilpa Shinde recently admitted during an interview that the sexual harassment complaint she had filed against producer Sanjay Kohli during the long-running dispute surrounding the TV show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! was false. She claimed that she felt cornered during the dispute and made the allegation while fighting against what she described as industry pressure.
Following her admission, AICWA wrote to Devendra Fadnavis, demanding strict legal action. The organization argued that false sexual harassment accusations can severely damage reputations and may undermine the credibility of genuine victims who come forward with complaints.
Background of the Dispute
The whole mess goes back to 2016, when Shilpa left Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! during a pretty loudly covered dispute with the show’s producers. It was about contract type disagreements, legal notices and claims flying around from both sides. After that, in 2018 she withdrew the complaint and everything didn’t really cool down after that.
