Shiv Sena teases ally with caricature showing party mascot with NCP, BJP, Congress symbols

Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut dropped a pinch of sarcasm after his party’s decent showing in the Maharastra Assembly Elections which concluded on October 24.

Raut tweeted a caricature of Shiv Sena party mascot tiger wearing a clock around its neck, the party symbol of NCP, the tiger can also be seen in the image smelling the BJP’s party symbol lotus while displaying its paw (a reference to Congress’ party symbol front-facing palm). The tweet was made with the caption, ‘Don’t mind, it’s Diwali’.

In the elections concluded on Thursday, the Bharatiya Janata Party registered victory on 105 seats, while ally Shiv Sena attained victory in 56 constituencies, Nationalist Congress Party stood third with 54, the Congress party won 44 seats.
