While addressing the gathering at the 30th convocation ceremony of Kurukshetra University, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that there are a number of similarities, and certain differences between Indian MNC, Infosys and the militant Islamist group, Al-Qaeda. He said that people of both the organisations function for the society, but the difference exists in the fact that the Al-Qaeda’s works are destructive for the society, while Infosys works for the betterment of the people.


Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma were also present in the event.

The programme commenced with Gita chanting. Rajnath Singh and Manohar Khattar was conferred honours by the University. More than 2000 students of the University were awarded their degrees.

Strict security measures were adopted by the University. Six deputy superintendents of Police, 19 inspectors and more than 700 police personnel were deployed to ensure tight security. No one was allowed to attend the event without a formal invitation.
