Simmba box office collection Day 6: Rohit Shetty’s 8th consecutive film to cross Rs 100 crore mark

Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba have been raking in money from its release on December 28. The film which collected Rs 50 crore in just 3 days of its release, raked almost Rs 125 crore after 5 days of its release in theaters.

The film has also crossed Rs 50 crore mark in international markets in just 5 days of its release. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the 5-day collection of the movie in the international box office.

The film is expected to have made Rs 24 crore on Wednesday, January 2 bringing its total collection to Rs 149 crore approx.

This is the eighth consecutive movie of the director of the movie Rohit Shetty, to cross Rs 100 crore mark on the box office collections. Rohit Shetty is receiving appraisals from the Simmba team and fans for achieving this benchmark.

Producer Karan Johar took to Twitter and wrote, “ROHIT SHETTY is the #masalamaverick!!! The gold standard pioneer of the Century club!!!”

Simmba starring Ranveer Singh who is also having a good run on the Hindi cinemas has got two biggest openers of his career- Simmba and Padmaavat. The actor also praised his director Rohit Shetty in his social media posts. He took to Instagram captioning, “ALL HAIL THE BLOCKBUSTER KING! ? RO-BRO BE SLAMMIN’ CENTURY AFTER CENTURY ? @itsrohitshetty ?? Ek hi toh hai ?”

Simmba got the benefit of the New Year holiday also feature Sara Ali Khan, Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles. The movie has proved to be a blockbuster so far and it is expected to continue its good run at the box office.
