Sirsa is one of the 90 constituencies to go for polls for Haryana Legislative Assembly on October 21. Sirsa falls under Sirsa Lok Sabha constituency of Haryana. Makhan Lal Singla is the current MLA of Sirsa.

In the 2014 Haryana Vidhan Sabha (Haryana Legislative Assembly) Elections, INLD candidate Makhan Lal Singla defeated HLP’ Gopal Kanda.

Out of the 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana, 17 are reserved for Scheduled Castes as per the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008.
