SNAP Texas Benefit Payments: Good news for people living in Texas! A few days ago, Governor Greg Abbott stated that SNAP payments would be extended for another three months, worth a total of $341.4 million.
SNAP Texas Benefit Payments: When will the next recipients to receive their December payment?
It is believed that these grants will be able to help about 1.6 million needy families in Texas.
“Thanks to the SNAP benefits provided by HHSC, Texans across the state continue to have access to nutritious food,” said the governor. “By extending SNAP benefits for the month of December, we are ensuring that all families can stay healthy and take care of their loved ones this holiday season.”

When does SNAP Texas pay people in December?
Each home gets their monthly benefits at different times from the 1st to the 28th of the month, based on the last two numbers of their EDG number.
- The payment will be made on the first of the month if the last three numbers are 00–03.
- There will be a 2 payment if the last number is 04-06.
- If the last number is 07-10, the amount is $3.
- The price will be 4 if the last numbers are 11 through 13.
- The payment will be 5 if the last numbers are 14–17.
- As long as the last number is between 18 and 20, the amount is $6.
- The payment will be 7 if the last numbers are between 21 and 24.
- If the last few numbers are between 25 and 27, you’ll get $8.
- If the last numbers are between 28 and 31, you’ll get $9.
- The prize will be 10 if the last numbers are between 32 and 34.
- The prize is 11 if the last numbers are between 35 and 38.
- The payment will be $12 if the last numbers are 39–41.
- If the last number is between 42 and 45, the payment is due on the 13th.
- If the last number is between 46 and 49, you need to pay on the 14th.
- If the last few numbers are between 50 and 53, the payment is due on 15
- As long as the last number is between 54 and 57, the amount is $8.
- The prize is 17 if the last numbers are between 58 and 60.
- As long as the last number is between 61 and 64, the amount is 18.
- The payment will be 19 if the last numbers are 65 or 67.
- The payment will be $20 if the last numbers are between 68 and 71.
- If the last numbers are between 72 and 74, the prize is 21.
- The prize is 22 if the last numbers are between 75 and 78.
- The prize is 23 if the last numbers are between 79 and 81.
- The prize will be 24 if the last numbers are between 82 and 85.
- The prize is $25 if the last numbers are between 86 and 88.
- If the last number is between 89 and 92, the payment is due on the 26th.
- The payment will be made on the 27th if the last few numbers are between 93 and 95.
- The last number should be between 96 and 99 to get the payment on the 28th.
A family may get a deposit to their EBT account with the prorated benefit amount and the next month’s payment if their benefits are adjusted at the time of application.
SNAP households that were certified before May 1, 2023 will keep getting benefits on the same plan as the date they were first certified, unless there is a break in benefits of at least six months and the household reapplies after May 1, 2023.
