The ICC Cricket World Cup will begin from May 30 with an iconic match between the hosts England and South Africa at the Kennington Oval, London. South Africa have announced their 15-man World Cup squad which will be led by Faf du Plessis.

Faf du Plessis will lead the Proteas World Cup squad that contains a good mix of players with proven World Cup experience and a new generation of exciting talent at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup to be played in England and Wales later this year.

Reeza Hendricks’ poor form in the last few ODIs has led to the selectors overlooking him. Hashim Amla is selected for the Proteas’ World Cup squad replacing Hendricks while JP Duminy and Dale Steyn also secured a place in the squad.

Quinton de Kock, Andile Phehlukwayo, David Miller and Kagiso Rabada have also made it to the squad and were anyways certainties.
