Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan suspends six members for five days for throwing papers during Zero Hour on Monday. Along with Gaurav Gogoi and K Suresh, MK Raghavan, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, Sushmita Dev also suspended by Mahajan.
In the meantime, the Upper House of the Parliament is discussing a bill on establishing the Footwear design and development Bill. During discussions, the question of Dalits being attacked by cow vigilantes also came into talk. However, it did not led to a major disturbance in the House.
Rajya Sabha also discusses drinking water issue in Question Hour. While answering to questions over the issues, rural development minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, said that the government is looking at diverse ways of utilizing drinking water across the nation.
