Spider-Noir OTT Release Date: Marvel fans finally have a release date for the much-awaited Spider-Noir, the dark superhero thriller starring Nicolas Cage. The live-action series brings the fan-favourite noir version of Spider-Man to screens in a gritty 1930s setting, combining detective drama, crime mystery and superhero action.
The upcoming series has already generated massive buzz after its haunting teaser and stylish black-and-white visuals were unveiled by Prime Video and MGM+.
Spider-Noir OTT Release Date
Spider-Noir will premiere in the United States on MGM+ on May 25, 2026. Global audiences, including viewers in India, will be able to stream the series on Prime Video from May 27, 2026.
The show will reportedly release all eight episodes together. Interestingly, the makers are also offering the series in two formats, an “Authentic Black and White” edition and a full-colour version.
What is Spider-Noir About?
Unlike traditional Spider-Man stories set in modern New York, Spider-Noir transports audiences to an alternate 1930s universe filled with gangsters, corruption and mystery.
The story follows Ben Reilly, an aging and troubled private investigator who once operated as the city’s only superhero, known as “The Spider.” Haunted by his past and personal tragedy, Reilly is forced to return to his masked vigilante life when a dangerous new case emerges.
This series blends old school noir narration with that Marvel-style punchy action, so it comes off as a grittier and more grown up look at the Spider-Man universe. Early reviews are already calling it out for moody cinematography, a detective style storyline, and then Nicolas Cage’s intense performance.

Spider-Noir Cast
Alongside Nicolas Cage, the series features an impressive supporting cast that includes:

Reports suggest Brendan Gleeson will portray the crime boss Silvermane, while Li Jun Li appears as Cat Hardy, a noir-inspired version of Black Cat.

Number of Episodes in Spider-Noir
The first season of Spider-Noir will consist of eight episodes. The series has been developed by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot, with executive producers including Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who previously worked on the acclaimed Spider-Verse franchise.
