SSDI: Your Social Security Disability Insurance premium increase for 2024 may be unknown to you if you have not received it this month. The amount deducted from your monthly payments will increase by 3.2%. The money you are awaiting may arrive either today or later this month. Whether or not you receive payment with this round is contingent on your birthday and the date you began receiving SSDI.

SSDI Payment January: Wednesday Distribution for Recipients

Since May 1997 or earlier, SSDI recipients can anticipate receiving their monthly payment on the third of that month.
The exceptions do exist. If the third day of the given month coincides with a weekend or holiday, your payment will be processed on the subsequent business day. Dec. 3, which occurred on a Sunday, resulted in the disbursement of payments to beneficiaries on Friday, December 1.
Everyone else’s schedule is contingent upon their birthday.
SSDI recipients who ceased receiving benefits before 1997 are subject to the same payment schedule as Social Security. Describe how it operates.
- Your payment will be issued on the second Wednesday of each month if your birthday occurs between the first and tenth of that month.
- Your payment will be issued on the third Wednesday of each month if your birthday occurs between the 11th and 20th.
- The payment for birthdays occurring on or before the 31st of each month will be processed and delivered on the fourth Wednesday of that month.

Payment is due on January 3 for individuals who have been receiving SSDI benefits since before May 1997.
SSDI payments are made on January 10 for individuals whose birthdays occur between the first and tenth of each month.

January 24: SSDI payment for individuals born within the month-to-month on days ranging from the 21st to the 31st.
