State Stimulus Updates: Initially, stimulus checks were designed to overcome the pandemic crisis, first at the federal level, and then at the state level.

West Virginia, Idaho, Wyoming, and Kansas are among the states that have banned the checks from being sent.

There are, however, some states that roll out their stimulus payments, which isn’t the case in all 50 U.S. states.

Stimulus payments to Arizona

743,000 residents will have new money available to them thanks to a new rebate that Governor Katie Hobbs of Arizona has approved.

There is a maximum rebate of $750 available to eligible taxpayers per dependent over 17.

Stimulus payments to California

A one-time tax credit of $3,600 will be available to California residents, along with a $1,083 ‘young child tax credit’.

You must also be eligible for the California earned income tax credit, have a child under age 6, and file your tax return by April 18, 2025, to qualify.

Stimulus payments to Colorado

Through the TABOR refund, single filers could score up to $847, while couples filing jointly can score up to $1,694.

TABOR checks previously depended on your income level, but now taxpayers will receive the same amount, which will benefit lower-income residents.

Stimulus payments to Maryland

With the annual child tax credit, Maryland residents could see some extra money in their accounts this month.

Around 40,000 taxpayers who earn under $15,000 a year may qualify for the credit, which is worth up to $500 per child. It will be available to families with children under 6 or with disabilities.

Stimulus payments to New Mexico

If you filed your 2021 tax return by May 31, 2024, and you have not claimed a dependent on another return, you could receive a rebate of up to $1,000.

There is a $500 tax benefit for single filers, while there is a $1,000 tax benefit for couples filing jointly.
