HSRP BOOK DELHI Traffic police

Delhi Traffic Police will be in their full force from today to check High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) and color-coded fuel stickers on the roads of Delhi. So if you wanna avoid those hefty fines of Rs 5,500 in the capital, here is the step by step procedure that you have to go through to book HSRP and color-coded sticker from the comfort of your home.

  1. Visit the official Bookmyhsrp site: Then select if you want to book HSRP and color-coded stickers both or just stickers.
  2.   After selecting(assuming you have selected both) you will have to complete 10 steps in total to get your HSRP.
  3. To explain it briefly, first, you have to select your vehicle make and manufacturer i.e Two-wheeler, Three-wheeler, and Bajaj, Honda among others. After this, you have to select a state i.e Delhi or UP. Then comes the vehicle type(commercial or private).
  4. After vehicle type, you have to mention fuel type and vehicle type again. Then comes booking details where you have to mention Registration Date & Number, Chassis & Engine Number and various other details including billing address.
  5.   Then after filling in these details, you have to fill in dealer info, appointment slot, booking summary, payment details and you will receive a confirmation receipt through email and message.
  6. The HSRP and color-coded stickers also have Home delivery.

In the starting phase, people who have applied to HSRP and color-coded stickers will not be fined. To avoid a fine they just have to show the slip of the application that they applied for and traffic personnel will let them go.

Supreme Court Order on HSRP

On the Direction of the Supreme Court in October 2018, the transport department had issued notice and warning many times to the vehicle owners to get their HSRP and color-coding done.

But from today, capital police will have the right to fine the vehicle that doesn’t adhere to the said guidelines of the transport department, as it has become mandatory now. Traffic officials can fine vehicle owners up to 10,000 which is compoundable up to 5,500.

The traffic personnel will lead the team in nine of eleven districts in Delhi to check the HSRP from today. According to transport department officials, there are at least 40 lakh vehicles, both cars, and two-wheelers, without HSRP.
