Sukma Maoist attack: CRPF man slams Rajnath Singh, PM Modi for bad governance

A video of a CRPF man, who can be seen venting his anger and expressing anguish against the home minister Rajnath Singh, after losing kin in Monday’s Sukma Maoist attack, has gone viral now. Posted by Pankaj Mishra of paramilitary force’s 221 battalions at Durgapur in West Bengal, this video is the latest case of outburst against the government’s alleged apathy.

Watch the video below:

At least 25 paramilitary personnel were killed and six others were injured in Chhattisgarh’s south Sukma region on Monday by the suspected Maoist militants.  As per the survivors of the attack, around 300 militants ambushed them, firing from hilltops. The personnel were eating lunch when they were targeted.

The attack happened between the Burkapal-Chintagufa areas in the Maoist centre of Bastar. The attack was said to be worst in seven years. In 2010, insurgents killed 75 CRPF troopers in the same region.

But this is not the first time that a jawan has criticised the government. In January this year, a BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav’s video went viral on social media, in which he had criticised about the terrible food served to the jawans and that at times they are even forced to go to bed hungry.

After that few more such videos had surfaced.
