Chetan Bhagat recently credited late actor Sushant Singh Rajput for resurrecting his career in Bollywood with ‘Kai Po Che’.

In an interview with Times Now, the author also went on to do some shocking revelations on Bollywood bullies. Talking about the same, Chetan revealed that Sushant did not understand the politics that went on in the industry.

He stated that he used to talk to Sushant and the actor was supposed to do ‘Revolution 2020’ which is based on his book. However, it is no longer possible.

According to him, there are a lot of people who feel they work hard and that should be enough. They do extra from the normal and think people should be fair. But they are not.

Chetan Bhagat also spoke about his argument with Vidhu Vinod Chopra over not being given credit for ‘3 Idiots’. He reportedly said that everyone knows the story of ‘3 Idiots’ is based on a Chetan Bhagat novel. He also revealed that every best story award in this country went to ‘3 idiots’. However, he was not given any award.

He further added that he was of Sushant’s age at that time and he still fought with them. He revealed that at first, they made him keep quiet about it the similar way they did to Sushant. Later, he stated that he wrote a blog and did whatever he could.

According to him, the fact that he was not from the industry and wasn’t treated that way affected him. He also added that the late actor was vulnerable and everybody was using him.
