Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case is taking a murkier turn day by day ever since the later actor’s father has filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty for abetting suicide. Also, KK Singh has earlier said in a video that he warned the Mumbai Police on February 25, 2020, about his apprehension that there was a threat to his son’s life.
Mumbai cop Zone 9 Deputy Commissioner of Police Paramjit Singh Dahiya told Mid-Day that the late actor’s family was trying to mislead the public by releasing WhatsApp conversations.
He told the tabloid, “He [the relative] wanted us to slap actor Rhea Chakraborty and keep her in custody without a formal complaint.” He said the family wanted the matter to be resolved in an informal manner without an official complaint from the actor’s kith and kin.
He told the tabloid, “In February, he sent me WhatsApp messages, asking me to call Rhea to the police station and slap her. Rhea and Sushant were in a live-in relationship then. They wanted us to take her and someone named Miranda in custody. I told him we need a written complaint to take any action, but he didn’t file one. I can’t call the actor and slap her. This is against the law and O P Singh should know this… I had asked O P Singh several times to file a formal complaint, but he never did. Why is the senior IPS officer bringing up the matter after 45 days and spreading the wrong message that we didn’t act?”
OP Singh, in his message, has written about how Rhea Chakraborty’s family took him away to a resort, away from his family. It seems he had called up informing his family that he was being kept in confinement. OP Singh’s message reads, “When the matter went out of hand, Sushant called up my wife to be rescued. He stayed with us 2-3 days. went back fine citing his shooting commitments. He is downhill again with reports of Rhea firing all Sushant’s loyal team members and putting her own stooges. His third sister, a Delhi-based lawyer, who used to be with him and visit him frequently is panicky that he has surrendered to a manipulative group of people and his life is at risk.
For the uninitiated, OP Singh is the police commissioner of Faridabad and married to Sushant’s eldest sister, Rani. However, the police had earlier refuted any reports of the complaint being filed by Sushant’s family.
