In her first statement released since September, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa said that she has taken rebirth because of people’s prayers.
“Due to the continuous prayers by people in Tamil Nadu, in other states and across the world, I have taken rebirth and I am happy to share this information with you,” Jayalalithaa said in the signed letter.
The letter was released by AIADMK head quarters in the name of party general secretary and chief minister Jayalalithaa.
Jayalalithaa said she was waiting to get well properly and to resume her work.
She also asked people in Thanjavur, Aravakurichi and Tiruparankundram to vote for her party. “”I am awaiting the news of party’s victory in all three constituencies.”
She advised the cadres to work for party’s landslide victory in three constituencies.
Regretting the loss of lives of cadres, she said “I express my anguish over the suicides committed by some cadres after my hospitalisation. I need the cadres for the party’s future and growth.”
Jayalalithaa was admitted to Chennai Apollo Hospital on September 22 with complaints of fever and dehydration. A specialist from London and three doctors from AIIMS treated her, besides a team of doctors from Apollo.
