The Congress Party said Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP JC Diwakar should be blacklisted by the Parliament given his streak of violations, a day after IndiGo and Air India banned Reddy for creating turmoil at the Visakhapatnam airport.

“Reddy has turned up to be a serial offender. It is important that such elements are blacklisted not just by the airlines but by the speaker of the House. A message should be sent that this kind of behavior from the public representative is not acceptable,” Congress leader Tom Vadakkan said.

Maintaining similar sentiments, Congress leader PL Punia called Reddy’s behavior ‘wrong’. He said he should not dent the image of other political leaders by doing such things. “He is known for his arrogant behavior. He should act responsibly as he is an MP. He should not do such things which bring down the stature of other political leaders,” Punia told ANI.

On Thursday, Both IndiGo and Air India banned Reddy from traveling on their flights. He allegedly created ruckus at the Visakhapatnam airport over boarding pass. Soon, Indigo Airlines approached Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA) to bar Reddy from Jet Airways, Go Airlines, Spicejet and other members of the FIA.

However, Reddy refused the charges of him creating a ruckus and said he did not misbehave with any official of the airline. As per TDP MP, there were a number of people standing in a queue when he reached the airport. They all had not been granted the boarding pass.

In the meantime, IndiGo in its letter specified that the MP delayed the flight by 28 minutes. The airline company said it will take necessary action to address the violation.
