Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a fresh attack on the BJP-led NDA government in Bihar, comparing it to 15-year-old vehicles banned for pollution and calling for its removal.
Taking to social media platform X, Yadav asserted that the 20-year rule of the NDA in Bihar has become a burden on the people, much like outdated vehicles contributing to pollution.
“The 20-year-old NDA government in Bihar, headed by Nitish Kumar, has now turned into a rickety vehicle. There is a ban on vehicles over 15 years old due to pollution, so why should this outdated government continue to operate? It must be scrapped,” Yadav posted.

Tejashwi’s Allegations Against NDA
Yadav accused the Nitish Kumar-led government of worsening Bihar’s poverty, unemployment, corruption, crime, and migration over the past two decades.
- He claimed that two generations of Biharis have suffered under the Nitish-BJP administration.
- He alleged that the government has indulged in “manipulation and flip-flops”, repeatedly shifting alliances to remain in power.
- He promised that Bihar’s youth are determined to bring a new government with fresh vision, dedicated to employment and development.

Nitish Kumar’s Political Flip-Flops
Nitish Kumar, who leads the JD(U), has changed alliances multiple times:
- He broke ties with the BJP in 2013 after a decade-long alliance.
- He joined hands with RJD and Congress in 2015, forming the Mahagathbandhan.
- In 2017, he returned to the NDA, forming a government with the BJP.
- In 2022, he again allied with RJD, only to return to the NDA in 2024.
With the Lok Sabha elections approaching, Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks signal an aggressive anti-NDA campaign, framing Nitish Kumar’s government as outdated and ineffective. The battle for Bihar is heating up, and the coming months could see major political shifts in the state.
