Just a couple of days ahead of the Republic Day, there are reports that terrorists are planning to attack the country. As per the intelligence inputs, the terrorists are planning to hit on Thursday and most probably will be dressed as an Afghani. They have also accessed passports using false means.

Notably, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is this year’s Republic Day function’s chief guest. He may visit the country on Tuesday and will be on a three-day visit.

Sheikh will also be accorded a ritual welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Wednesday. The crown prince will meet PM Narendra Modi in the afternoon at the Hyderabad House in Delhi after which there will be exchange of agreements between both sides.

Following this, he is scheduled to meet Vice President Hamid Ansari at hotel Leela Palace. He will return to Abu Dhabi after watching the Republic Day parade on Thursday.

As the authorities carried out a Republic Day full dress rehearsal parade, the commuting in Delhi was reduced. Besides, huge traffic jams were seen at different parts of central Delhi since the parade that starts at 9.50 AM from Vijay Chowk moved towards the Red Fort.

The preparation affected traffic in the city massively as all the routes around the district remained closed. Traffic restrictions placed by Delhi Traffic Police brought a delay even in areas like Mayur Vihar Phase I.
