Two days after Jeff and Mackenzie Bezos in a joint statement shared the news of their divorce with the world, speculations regarding the reason of them getting separated are surfacing.
According to reports it has been revealed that the Founder, CEO of Amazon was dating former news anchor Lauren Sanchez.
Sanchez who has been the host of So You Think You Can Dance has been linked with Jeff Bezos. According to National Enquirer, a US tabloid, in the of the messages sent by Bezos to Sanchez, they have claimed to obtain, read, “I want to smell you, I want to breathe you in. I want to hold you tight… I want to kiss your lips… I love you. I am in love with you.”
If the divorce result in equal division of wealth, Mackenzie Bezos will become the richest woman, while Jeff will lose his crown to Bill Gates, dropping down to the number 5 spot. The current net worth of Jeff Bezos is $137 billion.
The settlement would also leap over Alec & Jocelyn Wildenstein’s divorce, making it the most expensive one in the history.
In the Wildenstein divorce, Jocelyn received a whopping sum of $2.5 billion.

The joint statement shared by Bezos read, ” We want to make people aware of a development in our lives. As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends. We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other.”
“If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again. We’ve had such a great life together as a married couple, and we also see wonderful futures ahead, and projects, and as individuals pursuing ventures and adventures. Though the labels might be different, we remain a family, and we remain cherished friends.”
