TN TRB registration 2024: The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has extended the deadline for applying for direct recruitment of Assistant Professor vacancies until May 15.
Candidates who have not yet applied can download TN TRB application form 2024 from the official website, trb.tn.gov.in.
An earlier deadline for TN TRB assistant professor applications was April 29. This recruitment drive aims to fill 4,000 assistant professor positions in government Arts, Science, and Education colleges.
Exam pattern for the TN TRB in 2024
A written examination consists of two sections worth 200 marks each. The initial section, worth 100 marks, is divided into two sections.
In Section A, there are 50 mandatory questions, of which 25 are related to Tamil Language, and the remaining 25 are related to General Knowledge with a focus on Current Affairs. Participants have one hour to complete Section A.
During section B of the first paper, candidates must choose and answer five of eight descriptive questions, each worth 10 marks, based on their chosen subjects.
In addition, there are two sections in the second paper: Section A, which consists of 50 multiple-choice questions worth one mark; and Section B, which consists of five out of eight questions worth ten points.
In addition, 30 marks will be assigned to the Interview round.
In order to qualify for the exam, candidates belonging to the general category must score at least 40%.
SC, ST, and OBC categories must score minimum 30%.
