Top OTT Releases This Week
Panchayat Season 4 (Prime Video – June 24, 2025)
The much-loved rural dramedy is back on June 24 for its second season, with Jitendra Kumar once again playing earnest village secretary, Abhishek Tripathi, opposite powerhouse Pradhan, Manju Devi, played by Neena Gupta. With the backdrop of increasingly charged local elections and an exciting evolution in the relationship between Abhishek and Rinki, Season 4 continues TVF’s skillful combination of sharp humor with deeply felt character arcs. Directed by Akshat Vijaywargiya and Deepak Mishra, this hilarious, heartwarming new chapter continues the delightful slice of life adventures from the village of Phulera.
Squid Game Season 3 (Final Season) (Netflix – June 27, 2025)
The biggest global smash of the past few years makes its much-anticipated return as Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) once again enters the deadly competition on June 27! With Lee Byung-hun back as series fan favorite and possible honorary member, the game is deadlier than ever. Positioned on the other side of Season 2’s uprising, Season 3 explores a world turned upside down by shifting power, chilling psychological games, and a new slate of deadly competitor formats while dropping tantalizing spinoff seeds. Look for a compelling climactic confrontation in this much-awaited denouement.
Gram Chikitsalay (Prime Video – Ongoing from 9-May-25)
From TVF Streaming Wars comes a new rural-comedy twist, based on a real story of one-tooth Alice and an underused Primary Health Centre in Jharkhand. Dr. Prabhat Sinha (Amol Parashar) is the idealistic young doctor looking to do good in a broken system. Featuring many heartwarming performances (including the wonderful Vinay Pathak in a key role), the series is ultimately about healthcare, trust, and change, presented in a beautiful, charming, grounded way. Some critics point out that it covers the same territory as Panchayat.
The Hunt – The Rajiv Gandhi Assassination Case: OTT Release Date, Cast, and more
Raid 2
Raid 2 is the sequel to the 2018 Indo-Bangladeshi cross-border crime thriller Raid, and produced by Raj Kumar Gupta, released theatrically on May 1, 2025. It features Ajay Devgn reprising his role as the unstoppable IRS officer Amay Patnaik, facing off against Riteish Deshmukh as the influential, corrupt politician Dada Manohar Bhai, with Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, and others supporting. Set seven years after the first, the new film tracks Amay’s 75th income-tax raid in the eponymous made-up Rajasthan town of Bhoj. He takes head on Dada Bhai’s black money empire, facing violence, legal challenges, and even a 3-month suspension. At last, his doggedness forces Dada Bhai’s public defeat though the final act’s denouement suggests a larger conspiracy is afoot.
Mistry
Mistry is an Indian adaptation of the beloved American series Monk (2002–2009), debuting June 27, 2025, streaming exclusively on JioCinema/JioHotstar. Set against the backdrop of an endemic crime-wave in contemporary Mumbai, the series centers on Armaan Mistry—a genius ex-cop and obsessive-compulsive detective. Though he’s no longer officially in uniform, his extraordinary attention to detail makes him an invaluable consultant to the Mumbai Police.
Overall, the mix on OTT this week is a fertile one from feel-good Indian small-town comedies (Panchayat 4, Gram Chikitsalay) to international blockbusters (Squid Game 3) to new-age thrillers. No matter if you’re looking for something nostalgic, something to keep you guessing or something thrilling, your streaming schedule is set.
