Total Dhamaal box office collection day 9: Ajay devgn starrer crosses Rs 100 crore in second week

This Friday is graced by a comedy release which is also a third instalment of the Dhamaal franchise. Total Dhamaal is the movie with a huge star cast. It has the totality of star cast from the 2 instalments.

The movie is also the reunion film of Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit who have given several hit releases together. Despite the movie’s trailer and songs got a mixed response from the audience, it remains to make the headlines.

The movie is based on the earlier antics of the Dhamaal series in which Guddu (Ajay Devgn) and Johnny (Sanjay Mishra) are introduced stealing 50 crores from a Police Commissioner (Boman Irani). With a bit of ‘Hera Pheri’, the money lands itself in a Zoo in Janakpur.

Avinash (Anil Kapoor) and Bindu (Madhuri Dixit), a couple on the verge of having divorce and Adi (Arshad Warsi) and a fireman Lallan (Riteish Deshmukh) go through the obstacles to reach Janakpur. From stealing cars to an auto-rickshaw inspired helicopter, a lot happens in the distance of 400 kilometres.

The overall reviews suggest that the first half of the film has some flat jokes and some of them really fall in the court. The movie doesn’t hold inappropriate or double meaning humour.  The director has managed to keep the humour clean throughout the film.

The fact that the trailer was not so impressive but the film anyway holds the attention, courtesy the stellar star cast. Riteish Deshmukh is hilarious throughout with the obvious comedy kings Sanjay Mishra, Javed Jaffrey and Johny Lever.

Despite the huge star cast including  Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Javed Jaffrey, Sanjay Mishra and others, Madhuri Dixit has turned out the be the star performer. No matter what, the Dhak Dhak girl can still take your heart away.

Though the film has some repeated humour or antics that have been seen in the previous instalments, the movie still manages to hold its charm within the audience. Overall it’s a good and ‘Paisa Vasool’ film to go and watch with the family and children too as it offers clean entertainment.

The release of the film was cancelled in Pakistan and the team of Total Dhamaal has donated Rs 50 lakh to the families of the jawans who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack.
