UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan on Thursday awarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Zayed Medal – its highest decoration awarded to kings, presidents and heads of states. The honour has been bestowed on PM Modi for his contribution towards boosting the relations between the two nations.
Commenting on the announcement, His Highness Shaikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said the Indian Prime Minister had played a pivotal role in enhancing bilateral ties to the level of comprehensive strategic relations.
We have historical and comprehensive strategic ties with India, reinforced by the pivotal role of my dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who gave these relations a big boost. In appreciation of his efforts, the UAE President grants him the Zayed Medal.

Sheikh Mohamed expressed his pride at the strong friendship and cooperation between the UAE and India, and wished the country and its people continued progress, prosperity, security and stability.
