Following a car accident wherein his car rammed into a vehicle ahead of it, union minister Manoj Sinha sustained a fracture in the upper bone of the left hand. The 57-year-old minister of State for Railways and Communications was at first admitted to Apollo Hospital and then moved to the Railway Hospital.
Sinha represents Ghazipur in the Lok Sabha. As per the sources, the accident occurred when the vehicle ahead of the minister’s four wheeler in the convoy abruptly applied brakes in an effort to avoid hitting a man. Thus, the car carrying Sinha hit the vehicle from behind. As a result, the minister sustained injury.
Notably, the minister’s car has been significantly damaged. The CPRO said the minister would be flown to Delhi tomorrow morning.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said, “Shocked to learn about accident to my colleague and friend @manojsinhabjp wishing him speedy recovery,” in a tweet.
