UP board evaluation process to resume from May 4 only if lockdown ends

Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said if lockdown ends on May 3, the evaluation process of UP board high school and intermediate examinations will resume from May 4, as per reports.

UP Board Result 2020: UP board evaluation of answer sheets will resume from May 4 only if lockdown ends on its scheduled date i.e., May 3. Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said if lockdown ends on May 3, the evaluation process of UP board high school and intermediate examinations will resume from May 4, as per reports.

In a meeting with union HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank via video conferencing, Sharma said, “We propose to resume evaluation work from May 4 if national lockdown 2.0 ends on May 3.”

As per reports, the evaluation of the answer sheet will be started as soon as the lockdown period ends and it is possible that the UP board exam results will be declared in the first week of June 2020.

The evaluation of UP Board answer sheets was postponed from March 18 in view of COVID-19 outbreak.

Around 56 lakh students had appeared for the UP Board exam 2020. About 1.5 lakh teachers should participate in the answer assessment process.

Sharma said around 5.61 million students appeared in the class 10th and class 12th examinations of the UP Board that began from February 18.

A total of 2.586 million students were registered for the intermediate examination while 3.025 million for high school examination.

On the other hand, the board’s secretary Nina Srivastava denied the fake news that was going viral on social media about the announcement of the release of the examination results without evaluation of the answer sheets, that it is completely baseless and the answer sheets Evaluation dates will be determined after lockdown.
