UP: EVM machine goes missing from village in Mahoba, search underway

There has been major negligence in the safety of the EVM machine in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. According to sources, an EVM machine has gone missing from Nogav Fadna village located at Panwadi police station in Mahoba.

As soon as the information was received, several administrative officials including the District Election Officer and the SP have gone in search of the EVM.

For those unaware, fourth phase of the elections was held on Monday for the Lok Sabha elections. This phase was voted on 13 Lok Sabha seats of UP. During this time there was a lot of complaints about EVM in Kannoj.

The Samajwadi Party had alleged that EVM machines have been damaged in 27 booths throughout the region, which has disrupted the elections. But there was the only information of EVM machine being spoiled on 9 booths in Chhambaram assembly.

In booth no. 396, voting had been interrupted due to poor visibility. At the same time, the booth number- 107,116 did not start the polls for a long time. Apart from this, voting was interrupted due to EVM defect in booth number 58 and 161.

SP had posted from their Twitter handles regarding EVM machine in booth number 250 and 251 being spoiled. Polling was interrupted by this. Apart from this, the EVM damage in booth no. 63, 34, 35 and 375 in assembly number 202 has interrupted the polling as well.
