UP Government Launches ‘Har Ghar Solar Abhiyan’ Camps: It is a step in the direction of attaining the state government’s goal outlined in the Solar Energy Policy 2022 of Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development, which seeks to install 6,000 megawatts of solar rooftop plants on residential buildings by 2022.

Saturday, the government of Uttar Pradesh announced that on October 2, it will conduct the ‘Har Ghar Solar Abhiyan’ program in Lucknow and Varanasi to promote the use of solar energy.

The program, which will be held on Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday, will promote the use of solar energy by state residents, according to an official statement. In accordance with the Solar Energy Policy 2022 of the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA), the state government’s goal is to install 6,000 megawatts of solar rooftop plants on residential and commercial buildings, according to the statement.

The first training camp under the ‘Har Ghar Solar Abhiyan’ will be held at the Vikas Bhawan in Lucknow and opposite the municipal corporation office in Varanasi, according to UPNEDA Director Anupam Shukla.

Attendees of this program, according to Shukla, will receive comprehensive information regarding the installation of solar rooftop systems, the application procedure, and the configuration of net meters. In addition to residential and commercial consumers, he added that officers and personnel of various departments will also take part in this program.
