In a shocking incident reported, a 5-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted by his neighbour in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district, leaving the minor dead after the incident.
As per the preliminary reports, the accused, who was identified as Shiva, tempted the boy who was playing outside his house and took him inside.
“When the boy did not return till late in the night, his family members started looking for him and found him at the neighbour’s house, covered in a quilt with blood coming out from his genitals,” circle officer (city) Brahmapal Singh said.
The child was rushed to a district hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The deceased boy’s body has been sent for an autopsy.
The accused has been arrested and a case has been registered under relevant sections against the accused and investigation is underway.
