UPSC CSE 2024 Results: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024, selecting 1,009 candidates for top administrative roles in the Indian government. The results, available at upsc.gov.in, mark the culmination of a year-long process involving the prelims, mains, and interview stages.
At the top of the list is Shakti Dubey, a Biochemistry graduate from the University of Allahabad, who cleared the exam with Political Science and International Relations as her optional subject. Close on her heels are Harshita Goyal from Baroda and Dongre Archit Parag from VIT Vellore, securing the second and third ranks, respectively.

By the Numbers
Out of nearly 10 lakh applicants, 5.8 lakh appeared in the prelims held in June 2024. Only 14,627 candidates made it to the mains, and finally, 2,845 were called for interviews. The final list includes 725 men and 284 women, with the top 25 featuring 11 women—a significant marker in the journey toward gender parity in public administration.
Additionally, 45 candidates with benchmark disabilities have been recommended, ensuring representation across physical and sensory disabilities.
