The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination 2024. As a result, UPSC IFS 2024 registration has begun on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply by March 5, 2024.
For all candidates except females, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWD), an application fee of Rs 100 will be required to apply for the examination.
Eligibility criteria for the UPSC IFS 2024

Candidate must be an Indian citizen

On August 1, 2024, the candidate must be 21 years old and not older than 32 years old. He must have been born between August 2, 1992 and August 1, 2003.

The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following subjects: animal husbandry, veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics, or zoology, or a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, forestry or engineering.
The UPSC IFS 2024 exam will consist of two stages – a preliminary exam to select candidates for the main examination and a main examination, both of which are written. The exam will be conducted to fill a total of 150 vacancies in the Indian Forest Service.
