Kanpur: An unexpected hiccup took place at BJP Union Minister Smriti Irani’ rally in Shastri Nagar area when a bull entered the gathering. Irani was giving her address in a full swing when the incident took place. No injuries have been reported as of now.

Smriti Irani is set to contest from the Amethi Lok Sabha constituency for the second time against the incumbent MP and Congress party chief Rahul Gandhi. She is currently a Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat.

The Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh will be among the most stretched out as it will be held in seven phases as announced by the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on Sunday, March 10.

The Election Commission of India announced that the general elections will begin on April 11, with the last phase taking place on May 19, the results are slated to be announced on May 23.

Uttar Pradesh has a total of 80 seats and is the state which sends most number of MPs to the Lok Sabha.
