Agra: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s rally in Agra, the huts of poor in the nearby area were seen to be covered with curtains. The Municipal Corporation has asked the inhabitants to stay inside the drapes. People living in the huts said that the curtains will remain till Modi’s visit and the Corporation will remove it once he goes.

In 2017 before Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump visited India for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, Hyderabad authorities had removed hawkers and hundreds of beggars from the streets of the city.

Modi is scheduled to visit Maharashtra, Solapur today to inaugurate multiple infrastructure projects. After visiting Solapur the Prime Minister will visit Agra to inaugurate, “The Gangajal Project”. Modi is said to sound the poll bugle at the events ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

The PM tweeted, “Tomorrow, I look forward to being among the people of Agra. The Gangajal Project pertaining to water supply will be inaugurated. It will improve the water supply, benefiting Agra residents and tourists. Projects relating to health, sanitation, education will also be inaugurated.”

Meanwhile, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi will rally in Jaipur’s Vidhyanagar Stadium today.
